Southern Santa

Well, our first visit with Santa went off without a hitch… except for that we forgot a camera! Fortunately a friend of ours took pictures, so hopefully we’ll have them to share soon enough.
Santa was one in a million. I mean, this guy was the real deal. Big belly, round rosy cheeks, big jolly laugh, beard as white as snow, curly white locks in the back as well, and … a thick Southern accent. Whhhaaat? So close! He was Mr. North Pole until he opened up and out came his Southern drawl! Ha ha ha! Fortunately Joshua is not clued into such minute details.
Until now, Joshua has been afraid of the jolly bearded man, but he’s been growing slowly less fearful of new surroundings, and his desperate desire to make sure Santa knew to get him a Spiderman mask and gloves pushed him past his tipping point and on to good old Santa’s lap (with Jadon by his side, of course). What a great time! Christmas seems to get more and more fun each year!
