Here are some random fun pictures of our sweet Joshua. We are enjoying him so much. It’s incredible to think that we’ll have another little boy in just a few days. We’re cherishing these last last moments of Joshua as our one-and-only, but we’re also so excited to meet his baby brother. 3 1/2 days to go…

Baby Boy Harlan (that’s right… we still haven’t decided on a name yet) is arriving in just 24 days. We are all very anxious for his arrival!
I’m trying to help Joshua understand that he’s going to be a big brother. We’ve been playing with monkeys to demonstrate the relationship dynamics. We have a big monkey (Mama) and a small monkey (big brother) and a little snoopy we pretend is a monkey (baby brother). We tuck snoopy under Mama’s shirt, and then talk about how the doctor is going to take the baby out. We take the snoopy out of the Mama monkey and let the big brother hold him. I ask Joshua if he wants the doctor to take out Mama’s baby so he can hold his baby brother. He excitedly says “Otay!”
Who knows how much he really understands… but I’m certain that when the big day is here, he will be thrilled to have a baby of his own… as opposed to begging to hold the infants that come to visit, or stalking the moms with strollers at the mall, or peering into every infant car seat in sight… hoping to be allowed catch a glimpse (and maybe even hold) a baby.
Baby Boy, we can’t wait to meet you!
